The BA admission test at JUDE bring out the artists in the laziest of people at my department. Lots of posters are hand-drawn, coloured and put up, mostly to display two quite mundane notices: directions to the nearest bathroom, and the fact that guardians are not allowed into the buildings/premises along with their wards. But the posters are anything but mundane. The BA admission test is a carnival for amateur art combined with shudder-worthy witticisms.
This is the first poster I drew for this year's admission carnival. It was finished today very early in the morning. The image is a photo, not a scan, as usual.

Detail of Amlan Dasgupta, beloved professor and would-be HoD of our department. He was originally intended to resemble a levitating Buddha, but ends up looking - of course - as if he's declining the offer to another earthen cup of tea.

My friend and senior Soumik, though, assures me that declining the offer to another earthen cup of tea is quite a Buddha-like action, so maybe we still have space for hope (but not guardians, thank you).
